I’m excited to share that I will be participating in The Wesleyan Artist Market with textiles, pillows and a collection of new paintings!

The Wesleyan Artist Market is one of the premier markets in the south, raising money for art education while promoting artists throughout the region. Wesleyan’s portion of proceeds from the show benefits student programs, facilities, and arts education at Wesleyan School.  Art education has the potential to open so many doors for young adults. I still think back to the encouragement my art teachers gave me in high school, and how they helped lead me to where I am today.

This year’s market will be virtual for the first time, making it all the easier to shop from afar and attracting a diverse group of makers.

For the first time in 2021, I have new work to share with you!

There will be 10 new paintings premiering at the market. These works are inspired by my trips to the coast and by the magic of the night sky. I’ve selected a few pieces to share with you ahead of the market.

The shop will be live from April 22nd-29th, don’t forget that the new work will be hosted only on Wesleyan’s virtual store, follow this link if you find yourself lost, and just search for E.Lamb Studio

Stories in the Stars

Gold pigment and midnight blue remind me of something mythical written in the sky. I like to imagine you can reshape the constellations to create your own unique stories.

Dreamscape

Spindly-legged buildings seem to float among the clouds in this dreamy landscape. Lately I’ve been loving an accent of pink against soft shades of blue.

16 x 20” Acrylic on canvas | 450

Soaring

Abstract florals shift and change shape taking off into flight as they find their wings. I love the sense of movement in this piece and the patterns that emerge.

20 x 16” Acrylic on canvas | Framed | 450

Low Tide

This piece was all about letting the process take over. The wash of color captures the movement of the surf rolling gently over the sand. Little groups of birds scuttle along together in the low surf, with the bright sun reflecting off the water making everything shimmer like a mirage in the distance.

16 x 20” Acrylic on canvas | 450

Under the Blue Moon

I love painting the soft glow of a dusk on this coastal landscape. The soft shades of blue feel nostalgic of summer days you stretch every last moment of light from.

16 x 20” acrylic on canvas | Framed | 450
