Hello! Iā€™m Elizabeth, an Atlanta native, lover of paint, pattern, and animals of all kinds.

My journey to starting my studio practice has felt like a long and winding road, with stops in Providence, Boston, and NYC before finally landing back in Atlanta, where I live in the historic neighborhood of Inman Park, among storied Victorian homes and the busy Beltline. It's funny to look back and see how all the twists and turns landed you right where you are meant to be.

From a young age, I found reading and art a way to escape into my imagination, creating fantastical landscapes full of creatures  both real and imagined. I continued to explore art and design at Rhode Island School of Design, where I received my BFA in Painting. At RISD, I mastered the discipline it takes to be an artist and how to delve even deeper into my practice through experimentation and  introspection.

After spending a couple of years teaching art and working in a gallery in Boston, I decided to return to RISD to pursue my MFA in my true passion - Textile Design. With Textile Design, I found I could combine my love for process and experimentation while creating immersive, story-driven work.

For the next chapter of my life, I found myself gaining incredible experience working within the interior and fashion worlds, designing textiles and accessories for various clients. Most importantly, I worked alongside strong, creative women who taught me invaluable design and leadership skills.

After taking some time to evaluate the life I was leading and the work I was creating, I decided to take a leap. Painting and Textile Design allow me to immerse myself and my collectors fully into the worlds I create. I strive to make work full of nostalgia and whimsy, building stories that are full of wonder, yet instantly familiar. I am committed to building a practice full of sustainable ways of making. I value process and working thoughtfully, while producing locally and supporting other small businesses along the way.

Thank you for stopping by, I hope you'll follow along with me on this adventure.
